Remove the endcap by gently snapping the endcap from top to bottom.
Rotate (do not remove) the protective cap on the lancet ¼ turn. Firmly push the lancet straight into the lancet holder. After you hear or feel the click, continue pushing until the lancet comes to a complete stop.
Twist off the protective cap.
Select the Puncture Depth. Shallower punctures are typically used on softer than average skin. Select middle for average skin, and select deep for harder-than average or calloused skin.
Place the Microlet 2 device firmly against the puncture site. Press the blue release button without moving the puncture finger or the lancing device. The more pressure you apply, the deeper the puncture will be. After the puncture, wait a few seconds, then stroke down your hand and fingers towards the puncture site to form a drop of blood. Do not squeeze around the puncture site. Immediately apply blood to glucose test strip as directed.

Place the round protective lancet cap on a flat surface with the logo facing down. With the used lancet still in the lancing device, push it completely into the center of the cap.
Remove the endcap. Point the device towards a container for sharp objects (an empty plastic bottle with a lid will work.) Label the container properly and keep out of reach of children.
While pressing the blue release button (1), pull the blue cocking handle (2) and the lancet will drop into the container.
Replace the endcap.
